1.1 Dates of the Academy

1.4 Eligibility
The Academy is open for musicians and actors of any nationality from 14 years old.
There is no age limit if applying for music and theatre lovers section.

In individual cases younger applicants may be allowed to participate. In this case a special request has to be sent to the organizing committee to info@classicavivaacademy.com


1.5 Repertoire
The repertoire for the Academy is free. All the pieces must be performed by heart.
Additionally to the main repertoire, musicians and actors will make a joint project on Schumann's Carnival. Each participant will be asked to perform a piece for this project.


1.6 Language

Individual piano and violin lessons can be held in English/French/Russian/German/Italian.

Master class by Klaus Hellwig can be held in English/German/French/Italian.

Workshops "Stage presence" will be held in English.

Eliminating physical blocks and body movement classes will be held in English.

Text analysis and monologue work will be held in English.

Lectures on music and theatre will be held in English.

Classes of character development will be held in English.

Films will be shown in English with different subtitles.


1.7 Course price

1.7.1 Students for piano, violin and acting courses are selected on a competition basis. Selected participants benefit from a discounted price. There are two options:

A) All included - Course, accommodation, meal and transportation
1150 Euro for applications sent before March 15th
1250 Euro for applications sent after March 16th

All of the participants are hosted at the Villa Minghetti in the rooms for two or three persons. The rooms are equipped with a separate WC and shower. The use of all of the facilities of the villa, including WiFi, swimming pool, etc. is included in the price.

The meal is provided twice a day – breakfast and dinner. In the middle of the day fruits are served at the villa. One day during the Academy will be free of lessons in order to allow participants to visit Florence, Vinci, Pisa or other cities of their choice. At this day only a breakfast is provided.

On a special request lunch can be ordered additionally for the price of 10 Euro.

Students who select this option are provided with:
1) Practice rooms for minimum 3 hours a day
2) Pianists are provided with practice pianos (upright instruments)
3) Violinists are provided with a piano accompanist for their lessons, rehearsals before the concert, and the gala concert

B) Course only
500 Euro for applications sent before March 15th
600 Euro for applications sent after March 16th

Please note that if you choose this option you will be responsible for finding hotels, restaurants by yourself. You will also need to find practice rooms and practice instruments by yourself. You will need to find a taxi or another transportation to go to the classes, rehearsals, cinema and concerts.

It is highly recommended to chose the option "All included" for your own comfort and security.

1.7.2 Cultural retreat for the music and theatre lovers section has the all-included option, that provides access to over 20 classes and workshops, accommodation, meal and transportation, access to 3 open air cinema and tickets to 2 open air concerts.

The all-included price for this section is
1400 Euro for applications sent before March 15th
1500 Euro for applications sent after March 16th

1.8 Scholarship

By results of the work during the academy max. 2 scholarships for the participation in the next edition of the Academy can be awarded.


1.9 Rights
The Academy reserves all the rights for audio and video materials. All publications using these materials should be discussed with the academy and refer to its website.


2. The Course

The course of the Academy consists of:
  • 6 individual piano lessons with Maria Masycheva, Georgy Gromov and Alena Baeva
  • 3 days of master class by Klaus Hellwig (June 20th, 21st and 22nd)
  • 3 workshops on acting and stage presence with Adam Boncz and Chulpan Khamatova
  • 3 classes of eliminating physical blocks and movement
  • 3 classes of text analysis and monologue work
  • 2 classes of character development
  • 3 lectures on music and theatre
  • 3 open air cinema
  • 1 open air concert with Georgy Gromov, Maria Masycheva and Alena Baeva
  • Gala concert


3. Application

The applications for piano, violin and acting sections are selected on a competition basis and are considered in order of submission. The application fee should not be paid during the application process.

The deadline for application is June 1st, 2019, however, as soon as the maximal number of selected participants is reached, the application will be closed.
The selected participants need to pay a non-refundable application fee of 50 Euro. The course price should be fully paid within one month after the application is confirmed.

For the Cultural retreat for music and theatre lovers section there is no preselection.

The participants who submit their applications before March 15th take advantage of the special price - 20% off from the course price.
